Corbett Shwom

Thank you for considering one of my books. As someone who has spent a lifetime struggling with worry and anxiety, I never thought I would be bringing any of it to pages. Well that all changed when I had kids. When my girls were old enough to start to express their feelings, I quickly recognized how worry was starting to affect their well-being and knew I needed to do something about it (in addition to seeking professional help). I sat down one July evening and penned the ‘Worry Thoughts’ poem that helped them to understand that their worry thoughts were just thoughts and nothing more – the poem quickly became a go-to in their anxiety toolbox, especially at bedtime. Realizing how other kids may benefit in the same way mine did, I developed Worry Thoughts into a storybook. This is when I knew I found my purpose. Next stop was to revisit little me, who then became Little C. And to be honest, it wasn’t easy drumming up a lot of those memories, but if I can help instill in all those Little C’s out there that they are not alone, that yes, I felt that way, and yes, I thought that also, and yes, I did that also, but you know what, this stuff doesn’t define you, not one bit, it is the bravery that you face each day with that does, and you will be OK, more then OK!, it’s more than worth it! So I introduce to the world the Little C Books.
